Long Ride Home

I would like to say that it feels good to be home despite the half an hour late ferry, the extended ferry ride that took us to two harbors, and the LA traffic.

Paddle Boats

I would like to thank Ash's parents for convincing us to try out the stand up paddle board and the kayak and then treating us to a delicious seafood dinner on the water before some s'mores by the campfire.

I would like to congratulate Becky and Marcus on tying the knot this afternoon in a beautiful ceremony on the beach of Catalina Island.

Sleep and Rehearse

I would like to say that today's 4 hour nap was absolutely necessary after getting about 3 hours of sleep last night and it was fun enjoying dinner with Becky, Marcus, et al. at the Landing and then hitting the dance floor at Club Chi Chi's.

I would like to thank Ash for trying to stay awake for the entire drive to San Pedro after Cornell's disappointing loss to Kentucky in the sweet sixteen after an incredible season.

Settlers of Stuffed Cabbage

I would like to say that Tim's kale pesto came out much better this time and his Stuffed Cabbage was reasonable and it's too bad I didn't get to play Settlers of Catan with him, JE, Sean, and Cho but I'm sure I will at some point.

I would like to say that Pesto, vegetables, and chicken make the best combination to go with pasta and I'm glad I have enough to eat for lunch the next two days.

I would like to congratulate the Big Red on putting on another clinic today and embarrassing the Badgers and I would like to thank Ash for providing a highly entertaining/embarrassing ride home from Pacifica after our cloudy afternoon hike and before our first BBQ of the season.

Elliptical

I would like to say that although I don't feel like my lungs got a great workout from the elliptical, my heart rate was up around 145 and I worked up an impressive sweat on the weird machine that can go every which way.

I would like to congratulate the Cornell men's basketball team on dominating Temple today for their first NCAA tournament win from start to finish and fully expect them to do the same to Wisconsin on Sunday.

I would like to go snowshoeing again after my debut today in Truckee was pretty fun and the weather was absolutely gorgeous and I would also like to point out that Green Zone was a pretty good movie.

Long Day

I would like to have gotten to Heavenly a little bit earlier this morning to enjoy all the fresh powder and wish it didn't take so long to get home and buy food and prepare dinner so that we could have gotten to bed a little bit earlier.

I would like to say that I'm glad that Ash and I decided not to drive to Tahoe tonight and risk the snow-covered roads and take forever to get there.

I would like to say that the chicken/spinach/broccoli/pasta that Ash and I made for dinner tonight was terrific and I'm really hoping that my appointment with the surgeon on Friday reveals that I don't have any sort of a hernia.

Finally Back

I would like to say that Nola was full of sleep deprivation, lots of eating, and lots of drinking but it feels really good to be back home especially with Ash surprising me at the airport to pick me up.

I would like to say that ORS isn't that fun when you are hungover and have only slept for 4 hours and the alligator platter appetizer at Bourbon House was a big disappointment even though the rest of the meal was delicious.
