Travel City

I would like to say that waking up at 4AM to catch a flight from Seattle to Oakland and then taking a shuttle back to SF and then driving to Tahoe to celebrate New Year's makes for a long day.

Seattle Early

I would like to thank Ash's friends Leslie, Bill, Steve, and Alex for picking us up, hanging out with us and then providing us with a place to stay during our 16 hour stay in Seattle.

Pasagshak

I would like to say that although the Kodiak museum, aquarium, and the sushi at the Old Powerhouse were good, the cliffs on the beach at Pasagshak were amazing even though I was disappointed with the lack of bison despite their prominent feces.

Lazy Movie Day

I woul like to say how impressed I am that Ash and Steph were able to stay awake and watch three straight movies in a row tonight after a lazy day with an easy hike at Near Island and it's impressive coastline.

Abercrombie

I would like to thank the Kodiak pickup soccer league for thoroughly tiring me out after an easy hike with the pups in Abercrombie.

Pillar Mountain

I would like to comment on how freaky it is to look at a windmill atop Pillar in the fog when you can barely see the giant blades sweeping in the air.

Merry Xmas

I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas filled with many gifts, lots of good food, and most importantly great friends.

Christmas Eve Is Closed

I would like to thank most Kodiak restaurants for being closed, the brewery for being open, the Coast Guard gym for letting me get a workout in, and Out Cold for keeping me entertained this evening.

Old woman

I would like to thank Old Woman for providing me with a true Alaskan experience featuring snow, cold winds, and epic views and Steph for showing me her Coast Guard choppers and finally welcome Ian home.

Let The Treasure Hunt Begin

I would like to thank Steph for setting up the treasure hunt that took us to Termination Point, the sunken ship, up most of Barometer and then Ash for a delicious Thai dinner over the movie Felon that was so good that I slept through it.

Anchorage surprise

I would like to say that although we spent most of our day waiting in the Anchorage airport the few hours we spent downtown were probably enough to fully enjoy this chilly city whose best feature could very well be the Glacier Brewhouse.

On The Way To Sunny AK

I would like to say that I've never had such a hectic packing schedule and I can't believe how much stuff we're taking to AK.

iPhone Miracle

I would like to say it's a miracle that my iPhone magicall arrived finally today and I'm glad that Ash forced me to make that wine rack by buying me an orbital sander.

Party of Random Friends

I would like to say that Iain and Amy's party was full of people I knew and didn't expect to see and I'm glad someone liked our toilet refill valve in the white elephant game and thanks to Ash for taking me to Lolo.

Circus Acts

I would like to congratulate Ash on passing the Test of Strength and Skill I assembled for her and making it to Cirque du Soleil tonight.

Basically Moving

I would like to say that it feels like I'm moving with all the crap I need to pack (including my tools) for 3 days in SF, 10 days in Alaska and then New Year's snowboarding in Tahoe.

4 Ft Long

I would like to say that I wish the lab lunch didn't feature a 4 foot long steak burrito although the vegetarian one was actually pretty decent and the funfetti cookies Jenny made were pretty good.

Happy Happy Nate

I would like to thank Ash for taking me out a lovely birthday dinner at Tamarine and then convincing me to wake up early tomorrow morning to go for a run.

Clean City

I would like to thank Ash for helping me thoroughly clean the our filthy house and then cook a delicious meal of orange chicken and fried rice in the new wok and then finally relaxing with an action packed movie that I may or may not have fallen asleep towards the end of.

I would like to say that working out with Ash is just as tough as working out with Andy and I'm glad my Indian cooking turned out alright again.

I would like to say that I need to wear gloves to keep playing soccer in these mid 40 F temperatures and it's embarrassing that we finished today in a 2-2 tie.

I would like to have gone to bed 3 hours ago to make up for all the lost sleep during PA TG 09 but I am glad that I will be getting about 8 hours of sleep tonight.
